Application
This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to monitor and operate pump stations. It includes pump stations in water and wastewater systems, undertaking minor maintenance or organising more complex maintenance. It also includes gland adjusting, packing replacement and replacing fittings. This unit applies to staff with specific responsibility for ensuring pump stations operate according to workplace procedures. Those undertaking this unit would work under appropriate supervision, while performing routine tasks in a familiar context, ensuring minimal damage to the environment. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication. |
